A Pseudo Reality

There is no doubt in life being beautiful like the universe we live in. But the fact is we don’t know whether these things are actually real or not. From our common perspective, life is simple, running on a regular pattern and the universe we live in, it either came into shape from a big bang or was created by god, it merely depends on what we believe. But if we dig deeper into this topic we get quite puzzled, we can’t explain these stuffs to convince ourselves but no worries everyone is puzzled on this topic. We have theories to explain these facts but the actual fact is these all are theories and we might be wrong. A new theory might appear in a year and so, and it’s going to affect the coming years and also piles up as a new theory.

We have been quite mocking the ancient philosophers, whose most of the predictions about the universe and other stuffs have quite diverted from the present day scenario. Actually even present day us might get similar fate for our crazy thoughts and predictions from the future generations. We might be living in a simulation inside a powerful computer or this universe might be created by gods or we might be here from the big bang or we are some sort of captivated by the aliens who are somewhere looking at us or it might be something else. The second scenario that is the universe and its contents are created by god actually is cool only when told as stories to children, in real life it makes no sense. Who created gods then? But it might make sense when we take those guys running the computer on which this simulation is running as god. But for me gods are just a part of that myth which is falsely hyped as reality. The fact that we are alone in this universe (for now since we don’t have any extraterrestrial contact) may put the alien theory a probable candidate for the answer. But we might be alone in this universe, the great filter might have wiped all the civilizations other than us and we might have similar fate.

Probability of one of these scenarios happening is 1 in billions or even trillions. These theories have sort of been like religions with different ideologies. Reality exists in one of these states and the way we think is the reality for us. Everyone might be right unless we get that readme file or documentation behind this reality. And we often see clashes of people of these religions which is kindoff funny.

Then comes these topics birth and death. Actually they are opposite things. But according to one of the pre-Socratic philosophers named Heraclitus opposite things are part of the same system, they are in a permanent state of flux or change and one defines the actual significance of another. Birth signifies death and death signifies birth yet both being part of a same system, life. But the real headache comes to people regarding afterlife. Nobody cares about their life and its current status, yet we are eager to know what happens after death. It actually makes no sense to people like us who have no purpose in life. Then there is another thing that eats up most of our life, a quest to find meaning in our life. We humans are way more intelligent than animals, it means we have that power to create meaning in or of our life. We just tend to waste our time searching for it.

Life as we assume to have known actually doesn’t work as per our prediction. Theories can be cooked up but these must not be the reason to debate. Debates are only okay during debate competitions because here people are fighting for trophies, nobody cares about the topic and its content except judges. But in real life, debate results in status game which eventually is going to doom the human civilization before the reality is known. We should learn to respect others views because we are like them, ignore them if that irritates and sometimes fight with facts if they are wrong. Currently we are living in this state of pseudo reality a state where we assume to have known the reality but actually haven’t. Honestly, none of us knows reality, we are just a part of that system inside a loop, a loop that blackballs us from knowing the truth.
